Pioneer developed multifilament stainless steel, titanium and cobalt chrome cable as an alternative to monofilament wire in 1992. For its first 10 years, Pioneer capitalized on the unique application of cable by developing numerous companion devices for a variety of orthopaedic surgical procedures. To this day, Pioneer maintains established alliances with industry leaders such as Zimmer Incorporated, Synthes USA and DePuy Spine.
