Pioneer Surgical Technology, Inc. developed the NUBAC^® System for patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD) and related conditions of the lumbar spine. NUBAC is the only disc arthroplasty device utilizing articulating PEEK-on-PEEK material. Internationally, NUBAC has been used clinically since December 2004. Clinical trials in the United States are ongoing.
